The churches of God’s Saint Sophia” in the world are presented in Sparta

In the context of the “Paleologeia 2023” events, the Legal Entity of Culture and Environment of the Municipality of Sparta, in collaboration with the Interparliamentary Assembly of Orthodoxy, presents the volume of “The churches of God’s Saint Sophia”. The book on the churches of Saint Sophia of the world, published by the Interparliamentary Assembly of Orthodoxy, is a valuable manual, as well as a scientific tool for the churches around the world built on the model of Saint Sophia of Constantinople.

In total, 37 churches from 11 countries have been included in the volume (Saint Sophia in the “Castle City” of Mystras, Saint Sophia of Monemvasia etc.). At the same time, the articles have been written by 36 researchers-scientists.

The book presentation will take place on Sunday, May 28^th (at 19:00) at the “Sparta Spiritual Centre”. In the forecourt of the SSC, there will also be a photo exhibition of the holy churches, while at the end of the event, the volumes will be distributed free of charge. It is noted that the event is free and open to the public.
