Folklore Museum of Richea
The Folklore Museum of Richea was created in 1985 to promote the area's cultural richness. The first money for its creation was raised in New York by George Belesis. Today, it belongs to the Municipality of Monemvasia and is housed in a two-storey stone house, a typical example of Zarakas architecture. It is 23 kilometres from Molai and 33 kilometres from Monemvasia. At this point, we should emphasise that the Folklore Museum has been awarded for its objects and the significant work it offers to the culture of the place by the Academy of Athens.
Visitors can see various costumes, textiles, looms, tools of agricultural production and craftsmanship, traditional must swirls, old photographs, as well as prints of the war period.
