Chestnuts, whether roasted or boiled, have a rich taste and flavor, lots of calories, but great nutritional value. Its content is high in water, low in fat, it is an excellent source of complex carbohydrates and fiber while delivering far fewer calories than other nuts. Chestnuts of exceptional quality are produced in the mountainous settlements of the Municipality. It is characteristic that in Arna the famous Chestnut Festival is organized every year in the last days of October.
