The long, sandy beach with shallow waters is located on the northeast coast of the Laconian Gulf, approximately 3 kilometres south of Kato Glykovrysi.
The beach is 900 metres long. It is not organised. However, it has changing rooms and showers.
Vivari wetland is 2.3 km from the beach. Kokkinia Beach was recognised as a swimming beach in 1992.
