WEAVING ART TEACHING PROGRAMME in Geraki

The Experimental Weaving Teaching programme aims to preserve tradition and ensure the continuation of the art of Geraki weaving. The initiative is supported by the Region of Peloponnese, the Municipality of Evrotas, and the "Parnonas S.A." Development Organisation of Local Authorities. 

Classes will take place every Saturday and Sunday in two five-hour sessions, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. The teaching cycle will have a total duration of one hundred and twenty hours for each of the two sections and will be held on the ground floor of the Municipal Guesthouse of Geraki.

Interested participants may complete the attached application form and submit it by February 28th to the email address [email protected], or send it to the headquarters of the Geronthron Cultural Association, Geraki Lakonia, Postal Code 23051, or to the Citizen Service Centre of Geraki, telephone 27310 71755, or to the offices of the Regional Unit of Lakonia, 2nd kilometre of the Sparta–Gythio National Road, Administrative Building, Sparta.

Due to the limited number of available seats, priority will be given to residents of Geraki aged 18 to 45.

Equipment and consumable materials, including yarns, will be provided free of charge.
