Another important church is Agios Dimitrios, which is located at the northern end of the village of Aggelona.
That was the area where the old core - the centre of the settlement with the market and the stone mansions was. Unfortunately, they are all abandoned nowadays. It is a one-room church with an arched roof and a gilded, wood-carved iconostasis. Finally, a pointed, arched recess above the lintel also indicates the old age of the church.
