Krokees honour great poet N. Vrettakos

On Friday, July 28th (at 21:00), the Public Benefit Enterprise of the Municipality of Evrotas is organising anniversary events in memory of the great Laconian poet Nikiforos Vrettakos under the general title “Vrettakeia 2023”. Specifically, the book presentation by Dr Georgia Kakouros-Chronis entitled “Nikiforos Vrettakos: Painting and Poetry” will take place in the Krokees Spiritual Centre "Nikiforos Vrettakos" Hall.
After the presentation, a musical event will take place with poetry set to music by Nikiforos Vrettakos, composed by Georgios Pavlakos. Additionally, actress Maria Tzanoukakis and musician-educator Panagiotis Andrianipoulos will read poems by the great poet. The poems will be performed by soprano Dafni Panourgias, accompanied by Giorgos Panagiotopoulos on the violin and composer Georgios Pavlakos on the piano.
