Legends and Traditions at Cape Tainaro

One of the traditions, which is related to the oracle of Poseidon at Cape Tainaro, and which was saved over time in the book "Traditions" (volume b ', no. 989), of our great folklorist Nikolaos Politis is as follows: "Michael the Archangel often descends into a cave at Kavos Matapas and brings out the souls that God has forgiven their sins. Still, others say that vampires live in this cave, and Michael the Archangel, when people beg him, goes and throws them from there to the Tartars to save the world ".
