About 40 km from Areopolis, the visitor can be mesmerised by the beauty of Marmari Beach.
Basically, these are two sandy beaches with turquoise waters (Marmari I and Marmari II). The beaches are hidden among the bare hills on the road from Vathia to Tainaro, at the southwestern tip of the Mani Peninsula.
The first beach is organised with umbrellas and sunbeds and has shallow waters. The second beach has no road access, but one can reach it after a ten-minute walk. The waters here, at this golden sand beach, are deeper.
Marmari has traditional taverns and cafes, and you can find accommodation in beautiful hotels and hostels.
