Mill Canyon (or Vrysiotikos Canyon)
Usually, in order to get acquainted with the green canyon of Myloi, you need to start hiking from Georgitsi village.
Georgitsi, also known as "the balcony of Taygetos", is at an altitude of 970 meters.
Along the route, which is approximately 6.6 km long, there is a suitably landscaped path with a wooden staircase made of plane trees. Nature at the beginning is mild, and as the visitor walks through the canyon, nature "glows" in a magical way. Along the way, the visitor will encounter firs, chestnuts, plane trees and the ruins of old watermills. At the narrowest part of the gorge, you can find the old waterworks of Allevros. Passing under the Kastori Bridge, and after a distance of about 1.7 kilometres, the visitor arrives at the so-called "Marble Bridge". It is a stone arch bridge on the Kastori-Kampos-Koniditsa asphalt road. Finally, walking for another 1.4 km, the visitor arrives at Kastori village square. It is an unforgettable experience for anyone who decides to "wander" at the magnificent Mill Gorge.
