The village of Agios Konstantinos is located east of Agoriani, 17 km from the village of Kastoreio. It is one of the mountainous villages of Taygetos with amazing views, built at an altitude of 570 metres.
During the Orlov Revolt period, around 1570, under the pressure of the Turkalvans – Turks / Albanians, the first inhabitants settled here, building a war tower, from which the first name of the settlement, "Pyrgaki", emerged. Later, it was renamed "Regozaina" and in 1929, "Agios Konstantinos". The renaming was done with the inauguration of the homonymous church that was renovated on an older church that had been destroyed. In 1700, according to the Venetian census (Grimani), the inhabitants were only 14. After the liberation from the Turks, the village developed, and the 1940 census showed 429 inhabitants.
Despite its isolation, the village developed economically and culturally due to its geographical location. Brothers Dimitrios and Spyros Spantidos played a significant role in this development. Both immigrants (from the first wave of immigration in 1910) helped to complete essential projects, such as the central aqueduct, the monument dedicated to the fallen soldiers in battles, etc. For this offer, the Spantidos brothers were awarded by the Royal National Foundation.
