"Lambido" - Skala Women's Agricultural Products Cooperative
The women of the region created the Women's Agricultural Products Cooperative of Skala with passion, dynamism and respect for tradition. According to mythology, Lampido was the daughter of the king of Sparta, Leotychides. She was an active Laconian who lived during the 5th century BC. and wanted women to be dynamic and energetic in everyday events.
The Women's Cooperative produces seasonal spoon sweets and jams based on local citrus fruits (orange, lemon), traditional wedding sweets (diples, almonds, kaltsounia), orange pretzels and nuts, orange pies, liqueurs, traditional dishes (goges, saitia) and many more traditional products.
