The "Xirokabi Cultural Association" was founded in 1981 to develop the region through various projects, activities and events.
Specifically, the Association carries out numerous actions, seminars and cultural events every year, such as musical evenings, theatrical performances, concerts, etc. Since 2006, it has also been organising the summer festival "Invitation to Mount Taygetos", which takes place in the stone-built amphitheatre of Xirokabi.
The Association teaches traditional dances for children and adults, while there is also a Capoeira section, a theatre game group, as well as the "Kanenas (Nobody)" theatre group.
