The small village of Vasiliki is built on a hill of a small ridge, at an altitude of 640 meters. It is 30 km from Sparta and has just 43 permanent residents. In the past, the village was known as Kourtsouna. Here, the visitor can see the bust of the heroine of the Revolution of 1821, Ioanna Giatrakos-Rozakis. This piece of art was created by sculptor Demosthenes G. Tzanakos.
