Agia (Saint) Mavra Church
The church was built in 1830, and various versions of its construction predominate.
After 1806, many Georgitsians fled to the Ionian Islands (especially Zakynthos), where Agia Mavra is specially worshipped. Thus, the church is likely to be the fulfilment of a vow of the Georgitsians who managed to return to the village during the period of 1821. According to another version, the church was built by Panagiotis Rassias because on the day of a feast, a miracle took place.
