"The Mother of the Resistance" L. Karagiannis

The Municipality of Evrota honours the memory of the heroine of the National Resistance, Lela Karagiannis, by hosting the theatrical performance “Lela Karagiannis—The Mother of the Resistance.” The event will occur on Friday, October 17th, at the Skala Cultural Centre at 8:00 p.m., and admission is free.
The performance presents the life and actions of the great fighter, who, with her courage and self-denial, left an indelible mark on the history of the Resistance Struggle. Lela Karagianni is played by award-winning actress Mary Vidali. It is based on a script by George A. Christodoulou and directed by Giota Koundourakis.
The multi-award-winning production, which has won the First Prize for Performance and is now in its 10th year, is a moving tribute to the values of freedom, faith and homeland.
