The statue of the Vatica Sailorman
The bronze statue is located in the centre of Neapolis, at the height of the central pier and is the city's symbol. The sculpture was created by the sculptor Vangelis Moustakas during the two years of 1993-1994 and is dedicated to the memory and eternal glory of the Vatica Sailormen. The statue depicts a sailor ready to drop a thin rope to tie his boat.
