Paths of the Sea

Spread the word

The Spartan Studies Society and the Cultural-Educational Association of Gythio are particularly pleased to announce the implementation of an innovative Carving and mythology Workshop entitled "Paths of the Sea" under the guidance of the Catalan artist—known in her homeland as philhellenic—Ms Patricia Maseda.
The purpose of the action is to raise awareness of issues related to protecting our seas, to introduce a new type of art with ecological characteristics, to learn how elements of our mythology can inspire artistic creation on a global scale and, above all, to understand that our attitude towards the environment is an indicator of culture.
WE INVITE YOU TO HONOUR US WITH YOUR PRESENCE
The Workshop is suitable for young and old and will take place on Thursday, August 22nd, 2024, from 7:00 pm to 09:00 pm, at the Gythio Cultural Centre. Due to a limited number of seats, please register your participation as soon as possible with the President of the P.M.S. Gythio, Mrs Alexandra Savvopoulou, or the General Secretary of the P.M.S. Gythio, Mrs Chrysavgi Kritikaki, as well as to the E.S.S.'s email: [email protected].
We should note that the action is under the auspices of the European Commission on the occasion of the celebration of the European Day for the Sea (#EMDinMyCountry) and is the only one in the Peloponnese Region that received these auspices (for the 3rd consecutive year!), which makes it even more important.
Finally, we would like to warmly thank the Municipality of Eastern Mani, the publications "my-book.gr", the children's bookstore "MyKoukouvagia", the agro-food products company "Sparta Spirit" and the centre of alternative therapies "Frontida Tselekis" for their multifaceted support. Alexia".
