Spread the word

On Saturday, September 30th (at 21:00), Sophocles’ leading tragedy, “Antigone”, will be presented in a new format at the Ancient Theatre of Gythio. The play, translated by Andreas Zoulas, will be presented differently, highlighting the relationship between speech and music.
Nikos Xanthoulis, the musician who revived the technique of the ancient lyre, Thalia-Marie Papadopoulos, the dancer who specialised in ancient dance, and actors Dimitris Mavros and Maria Papafotiou will present the unique play, carrying the audience to a different ancient tragedy environment.
