The old boatyard is located next to the small Chalkitsa beach, at the entrance of the island of Kranai and the chapel dedicated to Saints Peter and Paul.
The boatyard had a great deal of glory from 1936 to the 1950s, when people and freight transportation was done mainly by boats, which came here once a year for maintenance.
