Stylianos Mavromichalis' Tower
Stylianos Mavromichalis' fortress complex is awe-inspiring.
It consists of a tall wall, stone walls with an inner corridor, and the four-storey tower, a typical example of Mani architecture. General Ioannis Mavromichalis built it in 1760. In 1805 the English navigator William Lick was hosted at the Tower.
The Tower now belongs to the Ministry of Culture and awaits its restoration.
