Church of Agios Vasileios
The central square of the village, the square of Agios Vassilios, was, for many decades, the centre of Kelefa.
There you can find the church of St. Basil (17th century), which is also known as "the New Year church".
It is a two-column, inscribed temple with a dome. The bell tower, which grows in three levels and has two bells, rises to the west. The church is built of mudstone and mortar put at the joints.
Inside, the temple was fully decorated, with the exception of the western part, with some of the frescoes surviving to this day.
An inscription that survives in the bell tower informs us that the church was built by "D. Petrakos from Charia ".
