In the area of Tigani, there are ruined towers and Byzantine churches, as well as remains of the necropolis (cemetery) with many tombs that date back to the 7th century. Today, glass-scented vessels and pieces of jewellery stored - kept in the Byzantine and Christian Museum of Athens have been found in the tombs.
At the beginning of Tigani and in the middle of the cliff, there is a cave with running water. At the eastern end of the cave, visitors can see the 7th century Byzantine, Early Christian Church, Agitria (i.e. "The Virgin Mary Odigitria"), with its three arches.
Many small tanks are visible. According to tradition, there are as many as the days of the year.
