The traditional village of Mina is located west of Areopolis - Vathia, at the same latitude as the port of Mezapos. It is 71 km from Sparta and 20 km from Areopolis. It is built at an altitude of 191 meters and has about 90 permanent residents.
The visitor here can admire various Byzantine temples, such as the ruined megalithic church of St. Peter, the church of Archangel Michael (13th century), the church of the Assumption of Virgin Mary and the church of St. John. The one-room vaulted church of Agioi Anargyroi stands out, which was fully decorated with frescoes, but, today, few of them survive in poor condition. The dating of the hagiography of the temple is part of the second half of the 13th century.
Finally, at a distance of 4 km from the village, the visitor can see the cave which is called "Koukouri" or "Koukourotripa", which is of particular paleoanthropological and archaeological interest.
