The small village of Fragoulias, (or Fragoulianika), is located inside Lagadaki bay and is built at an altitude of 260 meters. It is 80 km from Sparta and 6 km from the caves of Diros.
Today, it has about 18 permanent residents. To the north of the village, the visitor can visit the small chapel of Ai-Petrakis with the Post-Byzantine frescoes, as well as the cemetery church of the Transfiguration of the Savior. The church of Agios Ioannis is located to the northeast of the village, while the Monastery of Faneromeni, dedicated to Virgin Mary stands to the west.
