On the occasion of the Mediterranean Diet photography exhibition "Foodrprint," the Piraeus Group Cultural Foundation (PIOP) is organising a scientific talk and documentary screening at the Olive and Greek Olive Oil Museum in Sparta on Sunday, April 21st, 2024 (11:30-14:00).
Konstantinos Bardis, ergo physiologist-sports nutritionist, PhD in dietetics-nutrition and gold Balkan champion in mountain biking and dietitian-nutritionist Maria Patsiliva, will discuss the Mediterranean Diet and analyse its health benefits. Afterwards, the documentary "The Perfect Meal" (Greece, France, Spain, Korea, 2023, Duration: 70'), directed by Alexandros Merkouris, will be shown. The documentary reveals the secrets of the Mediterranean Diet, revealing how and why this diet is considered one of the healthiest in the world, as well as how it can contribute to combating climate change.
The "Foodprint" exhibition will be presented until 30/9/2024 at the Olive and Greek Olive Oil Museum in collaboration with Anemon Productions. Through the photographs of European photographers Johann Clausen, Elena Heatherwick, Myrto Papadopoulou, Chris de Bode and Maria Contreras Coll, different aspects of the Mediterranean Diet are highlighted, connecting Greece, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Morocco, Cyprus and Croatia.
