Saint Theodoroi Church
It is the largest church of Mystras with magnificent wall paintings, including the portrait of emperor Manuel II Palaiologos dating to 1423.
It was built shortly before 1296 by monks Daniel and Pachomius, and there are equal chapels in the four corners of the church.
The architecture of the church of Saints Theodoroi differs from that of the rest of the churches of Mystras, presenting similarities, mainly with the catholicon of the Monastery of Saint Luke in Boeotia. Inside the temple, parts of frescoes dating from the 13th century are preserved. Also, the tomb of the Despot of Morias, Theodore I Palaiologos, is inside the church.
