Parori is only 5 kilometres from Sparta and is located next to the Byzantine Castle City of Mystras. It is built at an altitude of 280 metres and has approximately 300 permanent residents.
The springs of Keramos with the cold, running water are in the traditional square of the village, while under the shade of the tall plane trees, visitors can enjoy their coffee or local delicacies.
Following the path (a distance of 2 kilometres) with excellent signs, you can reach the cave church of Panagia Lagadiotissa, which dates back to the 12th century. According to tradition, the last Byzantine emperor, Constantine Palaiologos, was officiated here before embarking on his remarkable journey to Constantinople in 1449.
