Vamvakou Revival once again invites children aged 6-12 to take part in the 6th Vamvakou Summer Camp, which will run from June 17 to July 1, 2026, in the unique natural setting of Mount Parnon and the village of Vamvakou in Lakonia, as part of the Vamvakou Revival initiative, implemented thanks to the exclusive donation of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF).
An exceptional day summer camp in the mountains, where children step away from screens and urban routines to engage meaningfully with nature, creativity and culture. Through a rich programme of activities, they develop collaboration and communication skills, express themselves creatively, and strengthen their imagination and self-confidence.
This year’s programme stands out for its enhanced scope and its significant collaborations with leading institutions and distinguished professionals and artists, offering children high-quality learning and recreational experiences. Contributors include the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC), the Goulandris Natural History Museum, the Central Public Library of Sparta, Neuroholics, and the Civil Protection Department of the Municipality of Sparta. The programme is further enriched by esteemed collaborators such as Alpha TV meteorologist Thodoris Tsatrafyllias, musician and author Maro Theodoraki, and actress Maria Terzaki, alongside notable professionals from Sparta. For the sports part of the programme, the training of participating coaches is carried out in collaboration with the non-profit organisation “Regeneration & Progress” and the Sports Excellence Department, under the scientific supervision of the 1st Orthopaedic Surgery Clinic of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
Through group games, sports activities, hands-on workshops, artistic activities and STEAM programmes, June will be transformed into the most joyful and creative month of the summer.
