Olives and Greek Olive Oil Museum-The Art of War
Spread the word

On the occasion of World Storytelling Day (20/3), the Piraeus Bank Group Cultural Foundation presents "The Art of War" at the Olives and Greek Olive Oil Museum in Sparta on Sunday, March 23rd, 2025 (at 11:00). The theatrical action is for families with children 8-12 years old.
"The Art of War" is a board game that reenacts a war battle. Miniature soldiers, combat weapons and strategic victory techniques from Sun Tzu's book of the same name raise children's awareness of the consequences of war and highlight the feelings of victims, perpetrators and observers.
At a time when toys play an essential role in children's everyday lives, this analogue representation uses toys as a vehicle for a multifaceted and experiential approach to the conflict of war and its effects on modern society.
The production was carried out within the framework of the Ministry of Culture's institution "All of Greece, One Civilization" 2024 programme.
