sparta.komvos-Viewing evenings

Spread the word

We are pleased to invite you to the opening of the Garden of Sparta. Komvos on Wednesday, July 24, at 8:30 pm. The addition of the Atrium to the multi-purpose hall coincides with the start of a series of activities called "Screening Nights". The word "screening" has a double meaning, both from the cinematic terminology and because we seek to "project" issues that concern us all.
Therefore, for the first "screening", moving to the "climate" of the time, a series of documentaries were selected concerning good practices for dealing with high temperatures in the hottest parts of our planet. We think it's helpful to see how people in different parts of the world cope with increasingly extreme climates to get ideas, as our Sparta is also breaking temperature records.
Each of the short episodes will take us to a different corner of the globe, from Greece and Spain to India and the warmer regions of the United States. We will see how specialised scientific staff and the local population work together to reduce extreme temperatures. The screening will last approximately one hour and be followed by a discussion.
Popcorn and soft drinks will be provided, but if you would like to bring something extra for your consumption, you are welcome to do so.
In the Atrium of sparta.komvos on Wednesday, July 24, from 8:30 pm. (screening will start at 9.00 pm).
