Forum Theatre Group in Sparta
Spread the word
The Sparta Bol Forum Theatre Group, founded in Sparta in 2017, is starting its meetings again. Our contact with society and our conversation with it are a need, and the practices of the Forum Theatre can help us achieve it. So every Thursday at 9:00 PM, the door of the Stage Cultural Association opens to host those who wish to explore this contact.
The group is open and accepts new members throughout November. Anyone who wishes to get to know the Forum Theatre can participate, regardless of their theatrical experience. This group has an activist character, so participation in all its practices is free. Come and let's talk through the theatre. Our city deserves to have its own voice.
A few words about Forum Theatre
Forum Theatre is a theatrical method born in the 1960s in Brazil, inspired by Augusto Boal, aiming to actively involve citizens in public affairs, regardless of origin, education and social status. Boal believes everyone can do theatre because it is an innate way of expression in humans. From Brazil, it quickly spread throughout Latin America, and in the late 1970s it reached Europe, where it today serves as a tool for social intervention.
Forum Theatre places the spectator at the centre of the theatrical act, making him the protagonist, so that he becomes a protagonist in his real life as well. Every Thursday at 9:00 PM at the Sparta Stage
