On Sunday, March 30th, at 7:30 PM, the Cultural Center of Sparta will host a special event dedicated to the historic bridge of Arta. The event, titled "The Bridge of Arta: History and Legend," is organised by the Kokkinorrachi Cultural Association of Parnon and includes the screening of a documentary by acclaimed photographer and filmmaker Vasilis Ganiatsas.
The bridge of Arta is one of the most emblematic monuments of Greek cultural heritage, known both for its architecture and for the legend that accompanies it. The documentary, which includes rare audiovisual material and historical references, will highlight its history, which is connected to folk tradition and the myth of the sacrifice of the master builder's wife.
Vassilis Ganiatsas, through his photographic and cinematic vision, records the cultural and historical significance of the bridge in a unique way, offering viewers an immersive experience. The documentary's screening will be a unique opportunity for the public to get to know the historical monument more deeply and to come into contact with the narratives that surround it.
The event is open to the public and free of admission. It is an excellent initiative for the preservation and promotion of Greece's cultural heritage. The Cultural Association of Kokkinorrachis "Parnon" invites all interested parties to attend and enjoy an evening full of history, memory and art.
