The project "Medusa - The Transformation of Gorgo" is an experimental dance theatre performance in which the myth of Medusa is decoded. The project seeks to fruitfully deconstruct the myth of the infamous mermaid and reinterpret it in the present day through the eyes of the modern woman and her story.
What was the basis of terrifying Medusa's nature, and how does a myth of antiquity unfold even in modern times within the framework of the existing patriarchy?
"Medusa, one of the most wronged figures in the dominant reading of world mythology, now turns her gaze to the viewer to petrify him redemptively, once again with the untold truths. It is the choreography for the woman in the world of the divine patriarchy and a reminder that purification always comes at the end, sometimes like medicine and sometimes like poison, having a double result like Gorgo's blood."
