The Hellenic Mountaineering Association of Sparta carries out mountaineering and hiking excursions on various paths of Taygetos and Parnon. At the same time, from time to time, it also organises tours of tourist and mountaineering nature throughout Greece.
For those who prefer something more relaxed, the Association organises afternoon short-distance walks. Another activity of the Association is the educational excursions where interested parties can learn belay techniques, knots, use of GPS, stargazing, etc.
Finally, the Hellenic Mountaineering Association of Sparta participates in the "SPARTATHLON" sporting event every year.
